We have seen no evidence of said update but will be eagerly watching as Google has not updated its PR since April.

Now, It's about 6 months from last page rank updating (14 Apr 2007).

Some of the web sites have new page rank and the most of them have got lower page rank.

As you there was many amount of complaint against Google pagerank around the web. The most known blogs like Problogger, Copyblogger, John Chow and many others was stroke with some kind of penalty which resulted with lower pageranks for all these blogs.
